Barbados is located at latitude 13° 10' N and longitude 59° 32' W and is the most easterly of the islands in the Lesser Antilles archipelago. Constantly cooled by the trade winds of the Atlantic, it has a tropical climate and enjoys pleasant summer-like conditions all year round.

For centuries, Barbados has been seen internationally as the gateway to the Caribbean.  Despite its tiny land area (431 sq. km.), the country's strategic location - coupled with healthy living conditions and legendary political stability - has allowed it to become the regional hub for transportation and communications.  Today, it is a thriving and highly reputable centre for tourism, international business and financial services.

Energy Tip!

Plant trees to shade your home, reducing your cooling costs in the summer months. Typically, newly planted trees will begin shading windows in their first year and will reach your roof in years 5-10.
